Play The Online Blackjack Variant Power

Like European blackjack, Power Blackjack is played with six standard card decks and offers 3:2 payouts for Blackjack. The dealer has to stand on soft-17. Doubling Down is permitted even after a Split move. But splitting more than two hands is prohibited. The standard no hole card rule for European version of online blackjack holds good.

Two additional options, called Power moves, are provided. If the first two cards of the player total 9 to 11 or the player hand is a soft 19 or 20, the Power Double option comes up. If the third card dealt is not found to be favorable the player can exchange it with an unseen card. The other option in this version of online blackjack is Power Split. The difference from normal Split is that this one is allowed even when player's first two cards are of different ranks. The players' odds increases with these two moves and to compensate, the online casinos charge a price. If the dealer busts with a hand total of 22 even valid hands of players will push.

It may not always be in your interest to go for the Power options. Power Split should be used when:
• Dealer's card is 8 or lower
• You hold either a 6,9 or a 7, 9 and the dealer has a 9
• The dealer has 9 or 10 and you have 5, 10 or 6, 10 cards.

Power Double option is advantageous when:
• Your two cards total 9 or your hand is soft 19, dealer has a 9 or lower
• You have two cards totaling 10, dealer has a 10 or lower
• Your two cards total 11
• Your two-card hand totals soft-20 and dealer holds 8 or lower
